Birthday Wishlist

It's always tough having a birthday right around the buying frenzy of the holidays, and now not only will this include myself (only a week before Christmas), but I perfectly planned HRD's D-date in the same time frame (just a few weeks after Christmas). Wasn't that smart of me? yah riiiiighttt. 

I recently mentioned to the hubs that we could switch things up and start celebrating my half birthday with gifts to make things a little easier on us... he didn't seem 100% convinced, so we'll see what happens :) 

In the mean time, I did put together a little birthday wishlist of some things I'm coveting right now. Maybe you will see something on here you'd like to add to your Christmas list? Enjoy!

With Mother's Day quickly approaching, I put together a little Mother's Day gift guide for those of you who may be scratching your head for ideas. Really Mother's Day isn't about the gifts, but it's about thanking your mom for the constant support 365 days out of the year. Even if it's just a little something to make her smile and feel special. 

It's funny that now I have seen my sister become a mom and I have a new found appreciation for everything my mom has done for me in my 26 years. I will never stop needing her, my needs have just changed over the years.

If you have kept up with this blog you may have noticed my slight obsession with Anna Bond's illustrations and work at Rifle Paper Co. I love how youthful, yet sophisticated her drawings are, and was ecstatic to stumble upon her new iPhone cases! 

I was just thinking my old case could use a replacement... hmmm.  

Although it's hard to choose, I think my favorite is the Hello Hello case... what's yours?

Today is a special day because it marks W and my 3rd wedding anniversary! We started a tradition of sorts for our anniversary, that we pick a place to go every year for a mini getaway. It's always been within driving distance, and nothing too lavish. Just somewhere to get away and enjoy a new city and each other.

 So in lieu of anniversary gifts, we go away together and that's our gift to each other. This year we are going to one of my favorite places on earth... Charleston, SC!  We are heading down there on Saturday and I can't wait to walk the battery and taste the delicious southern cuisine. There's just no place like Charleston!
