28 Days of things I love : Day 11

It is actually hard to find 5 people that are true blue with all good intentions, so if you do find 5 you are truly blessed. But being true, really make sure the backs you have. Make sure they have your as well with a pure mind and heart

My Friends.

Alright shiz is about to get all sentimental up in herr but I love my friends.

This past weekend, we helped lay to rest one of W and my close childhood friends. He grew up in W's neighborhood, and they have been best friends since I can remember. He was a groomsmen in our wedding, and he was the first casualty of war in 2013

We were heartbroken when we got the news, and even after a month from his passing, at times, it still doesn't feel real. But all in all this experience has made me realize how fragile life is, and how important friends are.

I have my best girlfriends from grade school, and close friends from high school that W and I still see on a regular basis, almost 10 years later. And I have my best friends from college, that I regularly talk to, and we try to see each other as often as possible.

Each of these people has helped shape me into who i am, and I am so grateful for them.

One thing W and I used to joke about years ago, was that we would "cut 'em" as in cut people out of our lives if they were always making trouble, or causing fights. Even though we were joking, I did sort of cut out the negative people, and have been left with life long friendships, that I can honestly say are completely drama free and bring me nothing but happiness.

I feel incredibly lucky to have the friends that I do, and I thank God for them!
